(More customer reviews)I normally do not do testimonials, but I could not live with myself knowing that there may be others out there that this product could help and I did not let them know it. Also, it is another glaring example of why the medical profession needs tort reform. My personal brief story. .......I'm 71 year old male. Over the last couple of years arthritis pain in my knees and shoulder joints had gotten so bad that I would wake up a dozen times a night screaming in pain when ever I would change position. I could no longer walk any distance and had trouble walking up and down stairs. My Dr. simply recommended taking over the counter pain killers; Aleve, ibuprofen, etc. I tried most of the over the counter joint supplements. I was seriously looking into knee replacement. I was worried about the potential liver damage from continuing and increasing pain killer usage to mask the pain. I was skeptic when a friend recommended trying SAMe. I read up on SAMe and the fact it was an amino acid based product, which is key to tissue rebuilding, I thought I'd try it. I decided on taking 400mg twice a day. After taking the first 400 mg dose, and no pain killers; that first night I realized something positive was happening. Going to bed I felt a warmth in my knees and I only woke up 4 times in pain. The next night I woke up twice in pain, and the third night I slept through without waking up in pin for the first time in a couple of years. My body was craving the amino acid product it added to my system. I was soon able to walk longer distances. My body was healing itself. On my next visit to my Mayo Clinic Dr. I told him about the results fro using SAMe. He just smiled and said it was a good product. I asked him why he did not recommend it, since it has been widely used in Europe for years. He said because it had not gone through all the FDA drug testing and his fear of being sued my some ambulance chasing lawyer. It probably never will go through all the FDA testing because it is so widely available and cheap. I've been taking it now for several months and it has given me back my quality of life. My knees are nearly fully healed, I'm back on my exercise bike, I do not wake up in pain, and I don't take any pain killers. I'm no longer even thinking about joint replacement. I don't know if it will work for you, but it has for me. Plus, I do think it has a very nice mild mood calming effect. Good luck. And let's push for medical tort reform so Dr.'s can be Dr.'s again without living in fear of being sued and driven out of their chosen profession.
