(More customer reviews)While this product is generally sold for use by humans, I have been advised by a very astute veterinarian to use this product to relieve chronic nasal drainage into my dogs throat. The dog, a standard poodle, developed chronic gagging, coughing and spit-up symptoms that were not properly diagnosed through expensive blood tests and x-ray examinations in a well-known chain store vet clinic ($1300 spent, result - "He seems to have an overly sensitive stomach")
Seeking a second opinion, I visited an "experienced" small town vet known for use of alternative treatment methodologies if warranted. After describing the symptoms and the poorly prescribed series of tests already performed, he suggested the dog might have nasal drainage problems. Within two days of beginning the treatment regimen my dog has ceased his frequent gagging and spit-up, and behaves more like the dog we knew before. He enjoys the medication (1/2 dropper) in his food three times per day (Poodles do tend to require smaller portions spread out through the day, otherwise they have difficulty keeping the food down.)
I now plan to use this product for myself as the winter settles in and the inevitable congestion begins. My dog recommends this product!
