(More customer reviews)I have had insomnia since childhood. I don't like using pharmacetical drugs to help sleep, so for many years I took benedryl. A few years ago I started using melatonin, but taking just it alone I still didnt get good sleep. Three years ago I noticed a product called Xenadrine sleep. I tried it and wow! slept like a baby. A few months later, it was off the market. I called the company to inquire why. They said it was due to lack of interest and sales, nothing at all to do with the ingredients.(it wasnt cheap for the quantity in the bottle) I felt devistated. So...I did some research and found a few products that were almost identical such as lean dreams and sleep md...tried them...loved them... but they were a bit expensive. I tried snooze in about a year ago and have been using it ever since. For the quality of the product, it is very reasonably priced! Funny thing, the past week I have not had to take it but once and have slept well on my own. I am not saying it cured my insomnia, just that for myself it appears it is not addictive and seems to be helping me get more regimented with my sleep.
A few words of caution though... Be ready to sleep within 20-30 minutes of taking this. If you resist sleep the fatigue will go away and you will not sleep. Also, for the first week of taking melatonin, people often experience nightmares and/or very vivid dreams. These do go away within a week or two and as long as you take this on a semi regular basis, the dreams will not be as intense.
Don't let these cautions be a reason you do not try snooze in. If you have true insomnia....this is a "gift"!
