(More customer reviews)I use USP products a lot, but I'm getting tired of the same flavors. Then I got an suggestion of this product by Amazon. I had never heard of it before. Comparatively cheaper than USPlabs Modern Bcaa, White Blue Raspberry, 15-Ounce (my favorite BCAA) with Subscribe and Save.
Here are my pros:
1. This stuff mixes up like a dream in comparison to other BCAA products. I find myself going back to this for BCAA's throughout the day just because it doesn't require as much vigilant shaking for it to fully dissolve.
2. Tastes great! I'll put this on par with any other "berry" flavored BCAA mix. I don't have any problems drinking this (taste-wise). If you like crystal light, kool-aid with light sugar, or any other branded drink mix, you'll have no problem with this. If you get a weird taste, add a little more. I do four full scoops in 24 oz water, as often as I want.... on the plus side... per fl oz, I'll bet this is cheaper than canned soda (don't quote me).
3. Pyridoxine HCL. Vitamin B6 for those of you that don't know what that is. Hearth healthy. I don't know why it's in here, but it is.
Here are my cons:
1. Artificial coloring (Red #40, Blue #1). There's no need for it. Scivation, if you read this, color the product label please and leave the coloring out of the product itself.
2. 2:1:1 BCAA mix. Compared to USP Lab's 8:1:1 ratio, this product falls short. Honestly, I'm getting BCAA's from so many other supplements, I don't think it makes a difference. It's just something to consider.
3. Sucralose. Take it or leave, it's hard to find anything good to say about sucralose or really any artificial low cal sweetener. Maybe someday, supplement makers will get on the ball with this, and start using stevia or xylitol. Until then, you just have to grin and bear it, because unsweetened BCAA's are jealous of how butt tastes. I mean that. If you don't believe me, go read my review of USP Labs Modern BCAA, Unflavored 12.3 oz (350 g). Ugh.
Anyhow, when I run out of this, I'll be picking up more. Maybe the larger tub if it's more cost effective.
