(More customer reviews)I admit to mocking people who've used the above words, but in this case it is so incredibly true. My Neurologist put me on Alpha Lipoic Acid for Disautonomia; my autonomic nervous system was no longer working right and I was having horrific issues of pulse and blood pressure changes, feeling faint, and breaking into a horrific sweat doing very little.
I expected those things to change when I started taking it and they did. But things that really knocked me for a loop was how so many other things changed. I had been on Nuvigil, an amphetamine for Narcolepsy and possibly the silliest diagnosis ever, but excessive daytime sleepiness. I have struggled with my sleep and being awake during daylight hours since I was a child, I would have made a great vampire. They have found I have a few sleep disorders (main ones are PLMD and sleep apnea); even after those were treated I still was sleepy all of the time and the Nuvigil only kept me somewhat functional. Now,I am way more alert during the day, go to sleep without difficulty, and am sleeping better.
I've had one other major change that I've noticed, my eyes had been incredibly sun sensitive making me wear sunglasses anytime it was light outside for the last 23 years or so. I don't need to anymore, only on the most intensly glary and bright days can I even wear them at all. I have yet to have an explaination, but am thrilled none the less.
